Rattlesnake Bite, Ouch!

Ouch! This little guy had a not-so-friendly visit with a rattlesnake. A rattlesnake bite to the face—a common place for a curious pet to be bitten—is life-threatening and needs immediate treatment.

Quick thinking on the part of his owners got him the emergency care he needed to save his life. This pup received life-saving anti-venom and stoically endured the tremendous swelling that came with the bite. Anti-venom is expensive.

We're glad that donations to Colorado's Helping Hands Foundation were available to cover part of the cost of his care.

This little pup has returned to normal activities—and his face to its normal size!
