Angel - Orthopedic Surgeries

Angel was rescued from certain euthanasia at a local shelter. The fact is, most shelters do not have the financial and post-operative care resources required to treat complex cases such as Angel's.

That's where Colorado's Helping Hands Foundation can do its magic. A small-dog lover learned of Angel's fate and was off to the rescue. Angel, an aptly named seven-month-old Pomeranian, has a congenital defect in her knee, and is unable to use that hind leg. To make matters worse, the other hind leg has a luxating patella (knee problem) and this condition must be corrected.

We all know that if Angel were a part of one of our own families that we would stop at nothing to give her the best and most appropriate care. We'd give her a chance. So why not a shelter pup? Angel's rescuer will fund most of her expensive surgery. But we needed our Helping Hands donors to help get her on all four feet.

Angel received two special gifts: life-saving surgeries and a new loving home with a veterinarian! Thank you for making her life possible.
